This week we took a trip to Gidleigh Park hotel to fit two Michelin star chef Michael Caines (MBE) with a pair of our shoes . He looks great in his Herring Hydes and we also gave him one of the Hilton messenger bags from our new Luggage range.
Thanks to hotel manager Andrew Foulkes, Gidleigh Park Hotel and of course Michael for their hospitality, a great day had by all!
The new luggage range from Herring Shoes has arrived and spans from wash bags to large weekend holdalls, all finished in super soft dark brown waxed leather.
Each bag is aptly named after a luxurious London landmark. The Dorchester is a weekend-sized holdall with two external zip pockets, sturdy webbing strap handles and a large internal zip pocket. The base is stiffened with brass stud detailing to help preserve the leather. The Draycott is a larger luggage version of the Dorchester with the same attributes.
The Hilton and Langham are classic messenger bag styles, also in dark brown waxed leather, with a padded and removable laptop sleeve and front brass fastening. Inside they are equipped with pockets for pens and phones, along with a large zipped pocket. The Langham is also suede lined for an extra luxurious feel.
The Mayfair is a satchel style briefcase with a webbing shoulder strap, two front pouches with a larger zip pocket above, and inner padding to protect your laptop.
Finally the Ritz wash bag is the perfect compliment to the rest of the luggage range and consists of 4 different zipped compartments designed to accommodate toiletries of varying sizes.

As you will of noticed if a regular visitor to the Herring Shoes Blog we love being talked about in various publications and online and we love doing some good.
So our first feature in Recognise Magazine (who promote lifestyle with a conscience) was fantastic to see.
We are good friends with the great people at Eclipse (who love the social side of racing) and this week they had an insightful article on what to wear at Glorious Goodwood.
