A few weeks ago, we gave you a sneak peek of our A/W 2024 collection by introducing you to the Mike chukka boot. A first look generally means there is more to come, and this is most definitely true in the case of our new limited edition Herring x Tricker’s collection.
If Mike was not enough, we have Allan, Gregory and Stephen to introduce you to too. Maybe these sound like ordinary guys you hang out with at work or on an evening out, but in the shoe world, we definitely think they are excellent chaps to get to know, not to mention Bourton and Stow (who ruined things by not having a typically male first name!)
As referred to in my recent In The Spotlight article on the Mike, I waxed lyrical about the painstaking effort that goes into the Chromexel leather production process. Four of our six new styles are made from this leather. All six have been painstakingly handmade by our friends at Tricker’s.
By choosing one of these new boots, you are investing in British-made boots and all the craftsmanship that goes into producing these simply stunning examples of Tricker’s footwear. Line one of these boots up against a high street brand and the distinctive quality will just ooze from every stitch and eyelet. Even comparing these boots to quality brands, they still shout a little louder that the rest.
We have collaborated with the very best Northamptonshire-based traditional shoemakers for many years now, and long may that trend continue. They enable us to bring you exclusive shoes made just for us to offer you something a little bit special that will set you apart from your colleagues and friends…in a good way.
I have just popped into our photography studio to have a good look, feel and sniff of this new batch of boots. I can report that the stitching is spot-on perfect; the delicate broguing and design elements equally so.
The leather soles are super deep and where rubber soles need to be discreet, they blend perfectly with their leather uppers. Where rubber soles need to be rugged, they are suitably manly.
The depth of colour in all the leather used for this season’s Herring x Tricker’s collection is sublime; exceptionally beautiful, ranging from natural hues to rich browns and stunning navy and burgundy shades.
And the smell? It’s really good! I encourage you give them a deep sniff!
As is the case with all limited edition collections, once they are gone, they are gone. We have already sold several pairs even though we have not yet told anyone about them! Eagle-eyed shoe boot-lovers have spotted that we have uploaded them onto our website and have swooped in. We invite you to have a browse through this new collection and let us know what you think.
